Richard Tharin / The Cerneos Group

Richard Tharin, MS, RAC has more than 20 years of experience in global regulatory affairs in the diagnostic, infectious disease, CNS, cell therapy, surgical and vaccine spaces. He has developed working teams in product development to ensure innovative therapies are successful from concept to commercialization.  As the founding CEO of The Cerneos Group, LLC he is implementing programs for MDR and IVDR readiness for medical device firms and preparing diagnostic firms for the development of COVID-19 diagnostics.  He has launched more than 25 companies in the USA since forming The Cerneos Group.

His clients range from small start-up firms to very large organizations including Kimberly Clark, American Red Cross, Irvine Scientific and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). As a Regulatory Affairs and STEM educator, he is preparing training programs for interns and established companies in medical device development, global compliance and regulatory strategy.  He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a Master of Science Degree in Regulatory Affairs and RAC certification from the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS).
